Castle Farms Wedding Photography

What does a lovely Northern Michigan fall day and a beautiful couple have in common?  Well, A gorgeous Wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan.  Knights Courtyard Castle Wedding Photography Castle Farms Northern Michigan by Photographer Paul Retherford.

The bar is set high right away with the perfect hair and makeup by Bliss Salon and Spa.  In addition, the florals by Thyme Hill Designs offer a nice color pop and also match the bridesmaid dressed perfectly.

Maggie Sottero Wedding gown is in the house.   Boy, does it fit the bride nicely.  In fact, the bridal store forgot to put the skirt in the dress bag that pushes the dress out and it still looked flawless!

The Bride and Groom choose to have a first look.

I organize the first at the pond next to the cool birch trees.  The ducks are happy that we show up. 🙂

Following the first look, we capture bridal party images and then head back to prepare for the Wedding ceremony.

Knights Courtyard Wedding ceremony

The advantage of a Knights Castle and Courtyard Wedding is that your guests park with a couple hundred yards of both locations.

It is SO easy!

In addition, the Knights Castle and Courtyard are more private than the other locations at Castle Farms.

The ceremony is officiated by their good friend.  He does a nice job.  Short and sweet.

After the kiss and introduction, they sign the marriage license in the round room adjacent to the Knights Courtyard.

Family images come next.

Then a few more images around Castle Farms with the Bride and Groom and back for the reception.

Knights Castle Wedding reception

Rusch Entertainment is the DJ for the evening.  Casey does a great job keeping the dance floor packed all night long.

They introduce everyone into the reception before having a first dance.

There are toasts, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, cake cutting, and bouquet toss.

The food is provided by BJ’s Catering.  Everyone must love it since the plates are empty.

Cake is by Kingsley Cakes.  Yummy!

Lots of drinking, laughing, and dancing ensues.

We end with some cool backlit images in the area of the large barn door and the arches.  I love the look of these images and so do they!
