Bay Harbor Wedding Photography

My final Wedding for 2017 was a pleasure to photograph.  The couple met downstate where they grew up living in the same neighborhood.  Then they moved apart.  Finally, the parents of the couple moved to Kewadin in Northern Michigan three houses apart.  This Inn at Bay Harbor Wedding Photography intimate Fall Petoskey Lake Michigan event is meant to be.

I love intimate Weddings.  Can I say that again.  I LOVE intimate Weddings.  Intimate meaning small.

Why?  First of all, I can really get to meet everyone.  Instead of just small talk so that I don’t get distracted, I typically have extra time to chat with family and guests more.

These two families are so accommodating.

It is obvious that the couple love each other.  It is also obvious that the families truly love being around each other too.

That is just SO cool!

Jamie from A.R. Pontius flower shop knocks it out of the park again with her design and fresh floral arrangements.  All of the family is so complimentary on the flowers.

After having a first look in Kewadin, Michigan, the couple completes all of their images with family.

Following, we head to the ceremony in Elk Rapids.

The officiant invites all of the family to come forward and surround the Bride and Groom.

First time in over 600 Weddings that this has happened at my Wedding.

It is so touching.  The images I was able to capture show the family and friends reactions in the background too.  So cool!

Following the short ceremony, everyone heads to the Inn at Bay Harbor for the reception in The Sagamore room.

This Wedding is definitely non-traditional.

With that said, everyone shows up at the reception, checks into their rooms for the evening, then meet up for cocktail hour.

When they decide to start, the bride and groom cut their cake from Simply Sweet by Jessica.  Yes, the cake is yummy!  Love Jessica’s cakes!

Immediately following, they dance their first dance.

Afterwards, everyone sits for lobster and prime rib dinner.   Yes, I was part of the feast.  WOW!
