Northern Michigan Castle Farms venue

There is something about military weddings that is just different.  The bond that you see between the people who have sacrificed is inexplainable.  Dream Castle Wedding Northern Michigan Charlevoix with Paul Retherford Photography.

Danielle shows up to the Wedding with her “groom gift” in hand, I knew it is going to be a special day.

She is really proud of herself in finding a bullet shot glass set for the exact aircraft that her future husband works on in the Air Force.  Even Chuck, her fiance, is impressed!

Danielle’s style is very clean and pretty.  Everything is very nice but not overdone.

They keep the wedding party small so that they could enjoy the day and not have to worry about others, and take a ton of images.

Danielle and Chuck decided against a first look.

It is the aisle that almost brought Chuck to tears.  If he wasn’t in uniform I think he is crying.  Just saying.

So the walk down the aisle is a long one at the Knights Courtyard at Castle Farms.  The groom is raised so you can see the bride the entire way.  It is really special.

Danielle catches her shoe on her dress walking down the aisle and is stuck holding her father.  Her face is priceless.  Everyone is laughing including Danielle and Chuck.

Jonathan Mays, as always, does beautiful work with the ceremony.  He bings some laughs a couple times during the ceremony.

It is a day long party that started fast and ends fast.

So I mentioned that Chuck was in the Air Force and he has probably 20 men and women from his group that traveled from Alaska, Texas, California, and more.  They knew how to party.

The nine bottles of Tito’s went away in three hours. 🙂  They get more though.  Party on.

Outside of the West Garden Room where the reception is held is a lawn toy area.  This is a hit with the adults and kids alike.

The food, the cake, the flowers, the dancing; it is all amazing.

We are even blessed with a gorgeous sunset perfectly placed to capture at Castle Farms.
