Boyne Mountain Resort is a year round adventure and vacation getaway in Northern Michigan. Weddings at Boyne Mountain Resort are always gorgeous. There are a number of locations for your Wedding on the Boyne Mountain Resort property.
Boyne Mountain Resort is best known for their winter ski trails.
Barb and Mark are avid skiers. Mark’s father owns a condo at Boyne Mountain Resort that they frequent regularly.
Barb and Mark enjoy the whole background of Boyne Mountain Resort. They wanted to have an outdoor Wedding ceremony and an indoor Wedding reception. As you know, Northern Michigan can be unpredictable in October.
As it turns out, it snowed on their Wedding day! It was very pretty but it melted by the time of the ceremony, for the most part. Does that mean they will have double luck?
It was still cool in the mid 30’s during the ceremony. They opted for the backup plan of the Vienna B room for their Wedding ceremony.
It was intimate and nice with a nice view of the color outside. Bono, their black lab/son, was part of the Wedding ceremony and posed for a couple images too.
Glad Remaly did a perfect job with the ceremony. George from Harbor View Entertainment played the music for the Wedding ceremony.
The one big distraction for a lot of the guests was the Michigan/Michigan State game was playing. You will always have those fans that just have to watch the game. I saw people checking scores as the day went along.
My time with Barb and Mark began an hour prior to the Wedding ceremony and ended just after a small amount of dancing. It was a short day for me.
There were a lot of tears shed during the ceremony and beyond. They were both happy and, maybe not sad, but bummed tears. Mark’s father had a medical issue prior to the day and wasn’t able to attend. One of the family members did live stream the ceremony on skype with the father though. Mark’s father was his best man too.
The colors around Boyne Mountain Resort were at peak. It was a beautiful area that we utilized just a little bit with it being so cold.
The reception was held in the Erickson’s Restaurant. The reception was warm and fun. Everyone had a wonderful time at cocktail hour. They had this amazing smoked duck sausage and smoked whitefish.
Erickson’s is a nice, intimate location in the lower level that overlooks Boyne Mountain and the ski lift. It has a nice sized dance floor and room to move around.
All the Wedding vendors worked perfectly together to make Barb and Mark’s day a flawless Wedding day with lots of memories.
