Backyard Country Garden Wedding Photography
Jackie and Matt had a Wedding Ceremony and Reception in Matts Parent’s backyard in Howell, Michigan with all their friends and family. They had originally been married in a small Wedding Ceremony prior to this event.
Since they were already married they did things a bit different.
I arrived around 2pm for my 3pm start time. Jackie was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the downstairs of the house. Jackie would wear a short evening gown, first, for cocktail hour and dinner. Matt was getting the last touches finished on the details and tent before getting himself into his shorts, sandals, and button down shirt.
We set up a first look at 3pm on the porch since it was raining. We made our way to the horse barn to capture some shots and let the rain stop before heading outside for some cool post rain images with the Wedding party and the family.
The guests arrived around 4pm for cocktail hour that lasted until 5pm. Jackie and Matt joined their guests in the tent for some drinks and chatting. Around 5pm, the fathers of the Bride and Groom gave their toasts and thank yous to all of the friends. Then dinner was served by Gary’s Catering.
Jackie and Matt did a small, private cake cutting and then Jackie went inside to prepare for the Wedding Ceremony with her bridesmaids.
Jackie wore a Lis Simon dress for her Wedding Ceremony. She put a Jack Daniels patch inside the Lis Simon Bridal dress because of her name.:-)
The Wedding Ceremony was short and sweet. Following the Wedding Ceremony the dance floor was open for dancing. DJ Scotty Alexander Entertainment played requests from guests and from the Bride and Groom. The Bride danced with her father and the Bride and Groom danced with all of the couples.
It was a beautiful Wedding that was in a different order for a reason.
Everyone had a wonderful time and the images show.
