Wedding Photography Frankfort, Michigan July 2013

The week leading up to this wedding was a scorcher in Northern Michigan. The weather broke and it was a pleasant, but a windy, 70+ degrees.

Ellie and Jim were married on Crystal Lake in Frankfort, Michigan. Ellie and her family have a long standing influence in the Frankfort area. Ellie’s father told the story at the reception of how Ellie came to Frankfort at a very young age on a boat with her family. Their love for the Frankfort area showed throughout the day.

Ellie loves Pinterest and used her love of the site to gather ideas for her Wedding day in Frankfort.

The wedding ceremony was located on Crystal Lake at a family friend’s house. It was a cute cottage with a nice front lawn right on Crystal Lake. The ladies got ready in the cottage. The view from inside and the deck was beautiful overlooking Crystal Lake. The view at the ceremony was a panoramic of blue goodness with a white topping. If you didn’t know it, you would think you were in the carribbean.

The wedding reception took place at Oliver Art Center in Frankfort, Michigan along Betsie Lake and Lake Michigan. This art gallery hosts artists from all over with unique styles. It also offers a Wedding location venue. The art is all moved to a secure room and the party begins. The location is unique with the different levels that make it nice for all ages and likes. There is a steel bridge that connects the building together in a circle layout. All this and just steps away from Betsie Lake and Lake Michigan.
