Fall Wedding in Upper Michigan, Northern Michigan
Not too often do I have couples who meet on EHarmony and get married. Â This destination Wedding in Northern Michigan, above the bridge, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was a match by this online dating service. Â They booked everything online and rented cabins on Brevort Lake in Upper Michigan. Â The intimate ceremony included about 20 people total.
The Wedding ceremony was a skit put on by the bride and groom. Â Music was played by two close friends on the guitar and violin. Â The bride started out in the upstairs room of the house and the groom on the deck. Â The bride walked down the stairs and into the living room where the groom was building a fire. Â There were two readings that were read by siblings of the bride and groom. Â The bride and groom mixed a ceremonial drink which included three alcohols, juice, and lemon. Â It was a double ring ceremony with personally written vows. Â The Reverand read this story about how the couple may have met if not for EHarmony. Â It was based in the caveman era. Â At the end of the ceremony the Reverand announced the couple and said to the groom, “You may now take your bride back to the cave.” Â The bride and groom proceeded to a room adjacent for a short time. Â Everyone was looking around and laughing, not sure what to do.
This is one of the most unique ceremonies that I have photographed. Â I asked the bride where she came up with the ideas and she said that most of them were from www.Offbeatbride.com.
Here are a couple more images then a slideshow of a selection of images from the Wedding day.
