Lake Michigan Beach Wedding

What a great day for a Wedding!  Sunny, blue skies on Lake Michigan with a large sandy beach and a bunch of friendly people.  The Wedding of Emily and Brent took place in West Olive at their parent’s house on the beach.  I love to do beach Weddings since I started out doing Nature Photography and I am really good at utilizing outdoor light, even if it is harsh like it was on Saturday.

The Wedding Party was a blast and they really made the images that much more spectacular.  I worked all week on the album and here it is:

So, a funny story from the day.  On the way to the wedding my car kind of coughed and the check engine light went on for about 30 seconds.  I pulled into the wedding and parked right in front of the tent so that I could get my gear out and move my car.  Talked to dad and he commented on my car.  He worked for Saab for 30 years.  So, I go back to my car to move it and it won’t start.  Dad looks at me and says he knows what is wrong.  Says to let it cool off and it will start.  So I start doing the photography and come back to the car and try starting when I have time and it doesn’t start.  I call the wrecker and my friends to follow my car to the shop.  My friends arrive and I try one more time to start the car and it fires up!  I call the wrecker and cancel the tow.  Dad and brother both tell me that I need to replace the direct ignition cassette which is causing the problem and I can do it myself.  Boy am I glad that this happened at this wedding!  I got a free knowledge base.  Thanks guys.
My friends were in town for the weekend fishing with me on my brother’s boat, http://www.catchabunch.com
We went on three trips and caught 15, 12, and 10 fish.  They all left with bags of 20+ pounds of meat.  Great time with the boys from Wisconsin again!  See ya this fall guys for a badger game.
Check back soon for the online images of Emily and Brent.  They should be up in the next day or so.  I had some computer problems that I had to work through this week and it set me back a bit.  I am catching up fast now.

Take care!
Paul
